Debbie Collis
From 2018 to 2022, I contributed to the development and maintenance of a shared online index of Washing Machines, pouring time, thought, and care into a resource that helped thousands of people access the largest list of Washing Machines available. When that collaboration ended, I no longer had access to the site or a say in how my contributions were represented. I developed my own website to continue this work with the same care, structure, and intention I’ve brought to movement education for over a decade, now housed in a space I own and manage. This site marks a new chapter, one where my work, experience, and perspective are clearly named and responsibly held.
Debbie and Lauren Intensive
Join Debbie and Lauren for a 12-hour weekend intensive focused on Icarian and Washing Machines. Designed for intermediate-level acro students comfortable with foundational partner acro skills, this training will build strong foundations for dynamic movement while helping you level up technique, timing, coordination, and confidence. Whether you’re newer to Icarian or refining your existing practice, we’ll meet you where you’re at with supportive coaching, detailed progressions, and plenty of fun flying.
Starting Friday night, all day Saturday, and Sunday morning, the longer workshop sessions will give us time to dive deeper, get more done, and really explore the material. We’ll also include acro talks and games for a full, intensive experience on and off the mat.
We’re looking to make this a fun community gathering where we share meals, train hard, and spend the weekend together. For those coming from out of town, we’ll be renting a large Airbnb with a hot tub so everyone can hang out and stay together. Beds and couches will be first-come, first-served. Housing will be a separate payment made directly to Debbie. Message Debbie with your housing questions.

Saturday: Castaway with Debbie Collis and Lauren Risting
August 22 Saturday 11-2
Castaway is a sought-after skill and a common prerequisite for many icarian classes. In this class we’ll break the skill down piece by piece, helping bases and flyers understand all the moving parts that need to work together to make it successful. Our goal is to build confidence, timing, and technique so you can feel more comfortable and consistent with this dynamic skill.
Saturday: Passage and pop over with Debbie Collis and Lauren Resting
August 22 Saturday 4:00pm - 7:00pm
This class is all about Passage, also known as Rainbows! We’ll work on popping from a bed position into both front bed and then back, exploring the timing and technique that make these skills feel smooth and floaty. We’ll also practice popping the flyer backwards for a flip to front bed — an extra fun and dynamic variation. Expect unique movement, satisfying pops, and plenty of reps to build confidence with these exciting transitions.
Sunday: Group machines with Debbie Collis and Lauren Risting
August 23 Sunday 11am-2pm
